RIP Stanley: Condolences

Losing a pet is never easy. Even when we know they’ve lived a long and full life, it is still a difficult thing to go through. But to have them taken from us in a brutal fashion is unthinkable.

Pets are our companions, our friends, our family.  Only people who have loved and lost pets can understand this particular kind of grief.  It isn’t something people can just ‘get over’.  It’s real and it’s painful.  We wanted to reach out to Stanley’s family and create a page for people to offer their condolences. Please keep your comments to condolences ONLY. IF you wish to discuss the case, visit our Facebook Page.

Our hope is that Stanley’s family can take some comfort in your words.  And perhaps in the future, this can help others.

  1. Please accept my heartfelt condolences. It is difficult to loose a beloved pet and even more difficult in the manner in which he passed. You are loving and caring enough to have entrusted Stanley to a doggie daycare so that he is not alone.. I believe in Karma. Good Karma will come back to you through Stanley.s spirit. As for the owners of Montreal Dog , Karma will come back to them…Diana C. Saplywyj

  2. I am so, so sorry for your loss. I cannot begin to imagine your pain during what must be an incredibly difficult time.

    I’m Still Here

Friend, please don’t mourn for me
I’m still here, though you don’t see.
I’m right by your side each night and day
and within your heart I long to stay.

My body is gone but I’m always near.
I’m everything you feel, see or hear.
My spirit is free, but I’ll never depart
as long as you keep me alive in your heart.

I’ll never wander out of your sight-
I’m the brightest star on a summer night.
I’ll never be beyond your reach-
I’m the warm moist sand when you’re at the beach.

I’m the colorful leaves when fall comes around
and the pure white snow that blankets the ground.
I’m the beautiful flowers of which you’re so fond,
The clear cool water in a quiet pond.

I’m the first bright blossom you’ll see in the spring,
The first warm raindrop that April will bring.
I’m the first ray of light when the sun starts to shine,
and you’ll see that the face in the moon is mine.

When you start thinking there’s no one to love you,
you can talk to me through the Lord above you.
I’ll whisper my answer through the leaves on the trees,
and you’ll feel my presence in the soft summer breeze.

I’m the hot salty tears that flow when you weep
and the beautiful dreams that come while you sleep.
I’m the smile you see on a baby’s face.
Just look for me, friend, I’m everyplace!

  18. Little Angel Stanley, you have opened eyes by your horrific pain of what bad humans are able to do. But you have also brought lights that punishment must take place for all the suffering animals can endure without loosing faith in humanity. Rest assure little angel that all your family and people that have heard your story will carry you in their hearts. Now protect your family , they will need a lot of your love.

Rest in peace and cuddle next to all your friends on the rainbow.

  19. So very, very sorry for such a horrible and preventable loss. And thank you for taking the time to share your story to help get the word out about this irresponsible facility. Everyone these days seems to think they can open a daycare or pet facility, but it’s clear how important it is to have staff who are highly trained behaviourists and who actually take the time to assess and monitor the safety of our pets.

I’m so sorry we had to learn about the deficiencies of this facility in this way. But I know Stanley must have been lucky to have such a loving family in his life!

  20. Run Free Sweet Stanley ♥ ♥

  21. My deepest condolences for your loss. Stanley will be waiting for you at rainbow bridge with his tail wagging. Much love and healing thoughts sent to you and to your family to get through this tragedy. Joanna. Xo

  44. Just saw a post about this on facebook. My sincerest condolences go out to Stanley’s family. It is hard losing a pet, anyone for that matter. We share our lives with these family members, and even though their life expectancy is shorter then ours, it is always hard when they leave us. It helps to remember the good moments, and cherish the good times. They will be forever part of our very beings. RIP Stanley.

  46. I am so very very sorry for the tragic loss of your furry child….my heart truly breaks for you all. I pray that this is a HUGE wake-up call for ALL pet boarding facilities that they should be required to muzzle ALL dogs during playtime together, so as to prevent such tragedy from ever ever happening again. When you feel strong enough maybe if you start fighting for that cause, it may somehow give you a bit of peace. Sending healing vibes to you all through the Universe to ease your pain 🙂
