The financial situation of the Animal Rescue Network has reached a critical point. Following last December’s sale of the building that houses the shelter’s 300 cats, the rent has been raised by 33%!
The ARN has long faced financial challenges and has been repeatedly hit by bad news recently. With this increase, the ARN has no other option but to plan a move for all the cats under its care as well as all the equipment, furniture and infrastructure required for a shelter of our size.
In the meantime, the new landlord is demanding payment no later than April 4. Failing this, legal proceedings will be launched.
Yet again, we are calling upon your boundless generosity to save these 300 defenseless animals. We need to put together the huge sum of $8,000 in the next few days. Please help us! Pass this message on to everyone you know. A communiqué is also being prepared for media distribution.
