The SPA Canada shared  a note written by Lune Lalune via Face Book that reads:

“Today MAPAQ is bringing out the new provincial regulations regarding the welfare of companion animals. On the manifestation that took place on December 10th 2010, we requested that MAPAQ takes action regarding puppy mills, chained dogs, fines and gas chambers. We will have 45 days to contest and request more action on certain topics. What we will ask for, will be studied and possibly accepted. We will have to do it in accordance with the norms, otherwise your request will be tossed in the garbage. We should all write. In large numbers we must act” (Translation Johanne S.)

    1. Won’t the postal strike prevent people from sending their letters?

      • Hi Chantal:

If the strike continues to be a problem and people do not trust that the letters can get on time to Quebec City, I would suggest to send them by Purolator which seems to be the most affordable service for guaranteed service. You can get a group of 10 or 15 friends each write a letter and send them in a bigger envelope and dive the cost of the service amongst your friends. I know it is an extra expense that goes over the regular price of regular mail but you will get a receipt, track number and a time of delivery of the envelope.

Or, if you have a friend in Quebec City you can send them by Bus shipment and your friend can pick them up and drop them off at the given address.

    2. Another option is for an activist who’s fed up with all the gov’s crap, to just post the info that MAPAQ conveniently forgot to put all of….
